Vehicle Technician Required for Volkswagen, Audi, Seat Specialist
1. Pay: £35,000 - £40,000 Basic
2. Hours: 8 - 5.30pm Monday - Friday
Our VAG Specialist client is seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team in Crawley. Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
9. Perform routine inspections and comprehensive maintenance on a diverse fleet of vehicles
10. Carry out repairs including brake replacements, engine diagnostics, oil changes, and electrical system faults
11. Use diagnostic tools such as VAGCom, ODIS, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and ADAS calibration equipment
12. Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics accurately
13. Complete job cards meticulously and communicate repair progress with service advisors
14. Conduct electrical wiring troubleshooting and repairs using dealer-specific information
15. Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
16. Contribute to workshop efficiency by collaborating with team members and maintaining workshop order
17. Assist with workshop duties outside of repairs to support ongoing business growth
18. Participate in company social media content creation as required
Requirements that the Vehicle Technician will need:
19. Proven mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair vehicle systems
20. Experience with vehicle maintenance procedures including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
21. Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment such as VAGCOM, ODIS, and electrical testing devices
22. Familiarity with vehicle schematics and technical manuals
23. Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
24. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team and to customers about the work done on their cars
25. A proactive approach with high-quality workmanship standards
26. Experience working on Volkswagen group vehicles is preferred but not essential
27. Formal or in-house training in diagnostic procedures and vehicle repairs will be provided
