About the Role
Harrogate College are looking to recruit two Variable Hours Teachers to work with our Adult ESOL students.
We are looking for two candidates who can demonstrate the necessary enthusiasm and skill to communicate at all levels in the college.
Day and/or evening sessions are available.
We offer the ESOL curriculum from Entry level to Level 2, including accredited and non-accredited courses.
What You Will Do
1. Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
2. Develop the essential knowledge and understanding to teach ESOL learners.
3. Create individual SMART learning targets linked to learner study programme/course.
4. Monitor students to achieve their targets and develop their skills to enable progression.
About You
5. Hold a L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, Delta). Celta is not recognised in the UK as a full teaching qualification,
6. Have UK ESOL based experience teaching adult in colleges in the UK,
7. You should have a relevant degree in English, or similar.
