CIS Security has an exciting opportunity for a Security Response Officer to act as a professional ambassador for the company at the West Countrys premier shopping destination. The site features over 70 leading high street brands and a multi-storey car park with more than 1,200 spaces. It is centrally located, approximately a 10-minute walk from Plymouth train station, with The Barcode leisure complex situated adjacent, offering a cinema, restaurants, bars, and indoor entertainment venues. The successful candidate will be expected to consistently deliver high standards of security, professionalism, and customer service to clients, visitors, and all site users. Information: Position: Security Response Officer Location: Plymouth (PL1) Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour Hours: Average 24 hours per week Shifts: Various Shifts - Days, Nights & Weekends Job Requirements: SIA Licence required Security and customer service experience is required Must be flexible and be able to work; days, nights, weekends and have the flexibility to change shifts due to operational needs Must have good command of English language Good levels of customer service, communication both written & verbal at all times Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site. Maintains working knowledge of security & safety for assigned areas Flexible in the approach to daily duties - retail, long periods of standing, patrolling, access control First Aid qualification & a CCTV SIA Licence is a bonus To have a smart appearance befitting the company Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific duties Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested Job Responsibilities: Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our customers and service users. Able to work in a team as well as on your own and have the ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift Confident in writing incident and shift reports To always portray a friendly, professional and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language. To ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, providing an exceptional customer service and ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded. Have the IT skills and the ability to understand and use varied Access Control and CCTV systems and platforms / integrated systems Have the ability to write emails and reply to emails in the correct manner Have the ability to exercise command and control and be an effective communicator to all peer groups and management levels. Able to understand the Escalation Process, - Escalate and Disseminate information in a timely manner to the correct personnel in the event or during an emergency or Incident on site. The role includes you to conduct opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling and conducting emergency procedures.
