Salary: £45,000 – £60,000, depending on your skills and experience.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
* Understanding our customers’ complex needs and collaborating to develop, validate, and manage requirements at multiple levels.
* Creating intricate system architectures and sub-systems using a Model Based Systems Engineering approach.
* Integrating, analyzing, and testing real-time systems that encompass various technical disciplines, including electronics, mechanics, optics, and software.
* Taking accountability for collaborative technical work package execution and associated outcomes.
* Providing guidance, coaching, and nurturing talent in fellow engineers.
* Ensuring customer needs are met and exceeded.
* Driving new and improved systems development through implementation, utilizing best practices in systems lifecycle processes, along with techniques like Learn First and Agile.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
* Proven experience in developing systems in relevant product markets, such as control systems or safety-related systems, across multiple technical disciplines.
* Experience in requirements management, design analyses, modeling, and simulation using tools like DOORS, Siemens Polarion, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB, and/or Simulink.
* A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Scientific/Engineering subject (e.g., Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics).
Desirable:
* Experience in integration, testing, and verification of real-time and/or safety-related systems, with an understanding of safety assessment processes.
* Customer and/or supplier liaison experience for technical aspects, ensuring customer needs are satisfied.
* An understanding of information assurance, cyber security, and environmental impact aspects related to real-time embedded engineering products.

The Systems Engineering Team:
Join a dynamic team dedicated to developing and supplying products across a diverse mix of commercial and military platforms, including Head Up and Head Worn Displays, Safety Critical Pilot Control, and Flight Control Systems. We encourage our Systems Engineers to gain a breadth of knowledge across these domains, becoming subject matter experts in one or more product areas or systems engineering specialisms.
