We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join our team within Vistry North Midlands, at our Castle Donington office in Leicestershire. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring materials and plant to meet the company's precise requirements, ensuring timely delivery and securing the most competitive rates within the budget.
You will handle cost control and financial reporting duties related to construction materials. Working alongside the Senior Buyer, you will be accountable for the performance of your sites.

* Working towards CIPS or similar membership
* Knowledge of construction regulations and materials

Role Responsibilities
* Ensure materials meet quality and performance standards
* Consolidate purchases for economic benefit
* Develop negotiated supplier agreements
* Communicate changes, price movements, and supply issues to relevant departments
* Purchase in accordance with group deals and prepare all procurement documentation
* Issue enquiries, analyze quotations, and place orders
* Manage plant equipment orders and negotiate prices
* Prepare CPC1 (Materials Costs) including material schedules, tender lists, documentation, and budgets
* Assist surveyors with cost estimates
* Coordinate with site management to ensure timely delivery
* Resolve discrepancies and authorize payments
* Participate in site meetings and monitor progress
* Establish and monitor rebate agreements
* Market analysis for cost-saving opportunities
* Negotiate and place tenders for supply & fit packages
