Poplar HARCA is an award‑winning housing and regeneration organisation with a national reputation for innovative urban and social regeneration.
The Property Inspector will ensure that all homes are warm, safe, dry, and meet regulatory standards. They will also help to deliver a service that is efficient, cost‑effective, and resident focused.
The Property Inspector will carry out Property MOT, front door and quality assurance inspections. They will be responsible for ensuring that every home on a defined patch has a valid, up to date Property MOT and front door inspection, and that follow‑on actions from these inspections are managed to completion. The Property Inspector will also be responsible for repair quality assurance on their patch, including post‑inspecting repairs and verifying that empty properties meet Poplar HARCA’s relet standard before a new tenancy begins.
The postholder’s responsibilities:
* Inspect homes and communal areas to ensure they meet safety and quality standards
* Plan and schedule inspections
* Diagnose building defects and plan remedial actions
* Manage repairs in line with the organisation’s policies, procedures and obligations
* Provide caring, respectful, and timely responses to all contacts
* Support customers, taking time to properly understand their needs
* Maintain accurate records in line with Poplar HARCA’s policies and procedures
* Escalate concerns in line with Poplar HARCA’s policies and procedures
