Job Overview We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our team. The role will involve developing players' skills, encouraging teamwork, and promoting a love for the game. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching or working with children, with the ability to inspire and motivate children ranging from 2 and a half to 15 years old. This role requires patience, adaptability, and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children/players.
Duties
* Assist and lead a variety of sessions for different abilities and age groups. Our sessions aim to enhance players' technical skills, tactical understanding, and confidence.
* Foster relationships with both players and their parents/guardians, including providing feedback on their developement, and/or behaviour
* Create a team-oriented atmosphere that encourages collaboration, respect, and sportsmanship among players.
* Stay updated on the latest coaching techniques and football trends to continually improve coaching methods.
Qualifications (Desirable)
* Proven experience in sports coaching or working with children, particularly in football.
* Strong teaching skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable and engaging manner.
* Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on motivating and inspiring young players.
* Strong organisational skills to manage camp day schedules, logistics, and work flexibly with a variety of abilities.
* SFA qualifications are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain relevant certifications is essential and costs for any training is covered.
* First Aid qualification is desirable, but not essential; training will be provided.
* Driving License is ideal, if not, the ability to travel to various locations across Aberdeen City is essential.
* Existing PVG member is preferred, however any costs associated with joining the relevant PVG scheme are covered. Obtaining a valid PVG is mandatory for this role.
