Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is Santander's division supporting complex corporate and institutional clients with tailored wholesale products.
In this role within the SCIB UK Strategy and Governance team, you’ll work closely with the Santander London Branch (SLB) Executive Committee and Senior Management to implement divisional goals.
You’ll drive strategic priorities, influence management decisions, and work with the team to identify opportunities and challenges, ensuring effective governance structures.
This high-profile role reports to the Head of Strategy & Governance and supports the Head of SCIB UK and the SLB Chief Administrative Officer in daily management.
The key responsibilities include:
1. Advising the Head of Strategy & Governance on strategic questions.
2. Supporting strategic planning and budgeting for UK SCIB.
3. Designing and implementing transformation programmes.
4. Leading strategy reviews and testing hypotheses.
5. Managing the evolution of SCIB UK’s Booking Model architecture in line with growth and regulation.
6. Engaging with UK regulatory bodies and supporting the Head of SCIB UK with presentations and interactions.
What you’ll bring:
Essential requirements:
1. Experience in Management Consulting or Financial Services.
2. Understanding of strategic transformation programmes.
3. Experience with regulatory and governance matters.
4. Stakeholder management skills.
Preferred qualifications:
1. Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or Management.
2. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
3. MBA or Masters in Finance or equivalent.
