Are you an experienced SEN Teacher with strong English skills and a passion for inclusive education?
A supportive school in South Shields is looking for a committed and skilled SEN Teacher to join their team. This role requires UK classroom experience and a UK-recognised teaching qualification. You will be working closely with pupils with a range of additional needs, delivering tailored support and fostering a positive learning experience.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning, engagement, and progress.
* Work closely with support staff, families, and external professionals to create and implement effective learning plans.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
* Support the development of pupils' communication, literacy, and emotional regulation skills.
Requirements:
* UK-recognised teaching qualification – essential.
* Must have previous UK teaching experience.
* Strong subject knowledge in English and ability to support literacy development.
* Experience working with children with SEN, including those with moderate to complex needs.
* Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
* Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
