Hays are working with a specialist engineering services provider that supports manufacturers across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Part‑Time Lead Generation Specialist to enhance theirmercial activity.
Your new role
In this part‑time position (20 hours per week), you will focus on creating and developing early-stage sales opportunities. Acting as the initial point of contact for prospective clients, you will research target organisations, identify relevant decision-makers, and introduce thepany’s engineering and machinery-related services through structured outreach activity.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Mapping potential customers across engineering, manufacturing, and industrial sectors
2. Building a well-organised pipeline and maintaining accurate records of prospects and contacts
3. Identifying key individuals within maintenance, engineering, operations, or procurement functions
4. Making outbound calls and issuing follow‑up emails to showcase thepany’s capabilities
5. Generating interest in machinery installation projects, asset reliability and condition monitoring services, and ongoing engineering support
6. Conducting regular follow‑ups to maintain engagement and move prospects through the pipeline
7. Updating internal systems with activity, oues and next rmended steps
8. Collaborating with internal teams to pass on qualified, ready-to-progress opportunities
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
9. Excellentmunication skills and the confidence to engage professionally over the phone
10. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload independently
11. Previous experience in B2B lead generation, business development or aparable role
12. Ability to support the creation and delivery of email marketing and outreach campaigns
Desirable:
13. An understanding of engineering, manufacturing, machinery, or technical services (full training will be provided)
14. Experience working with CRM systems or maintaining structured sales databases
15. Awareness of branding, marketing, and engagement principles
