The Role - Foundation Studies Lecturer
As a Foundation Studies Lecturer, you will:
1. Plan and deliver engaging courses across a range of Foundation Studies programmes
2. Focus particularly on Access to Further Education programmes
3. Take an active role in developing learners' essential skills for independence
4. Prepare students for successful progression to employment or further study
5. Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of programmes within the Foundation Studies area
6. Support learners in building confidence and achieving their potential
What You'll Bring
Essential Requirements:
7. A degree in a relevant subject area OR minimum Level 3 qualification with substantial teaching experience in Foundation Studies
8. Proven experience of teaching within the Foundation Learning area, including Functional Skills
9. Up-to-date knowledge of good practice in Foundation Studies delivery
10. Passion for supporting learners who may face barriers to education
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
12. Commitment to inclusive teaching practices
Desirable:
13. Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector
14. Experience in curriculum development
15. Understanding of progression pathways for Foundation learners
Location Details
These positions will initially be based at our client's Uxbridge campus. Over time, successful candidates may also be required to work at the Barra Hall, Hayes site, offering variety and the opportunity to work across multiple learning environments.
