Advanced Pharmacy Technician - Dispensaries
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts is looking for an Advanced Pharmacy Technician - Dispensaries to Lead the delivery of dispensary services across both the City and Queens Medical Centre campuses.

Job Summary

Main duties and responsibilities
* Proactively lead, organise, manage and develop the dispensaries at NUH
* Contribute to strategy and implement service improvements in safety and operational efficiency and effectiveness whilst maintaining compliance with legislation
* Ensure all standard operating procedures and risk assessments reflect current practice, governance requirements and are implemented
* Lead by example and develop working environments that encourage teamwork, mutual support and respect
* Participate in a 7-day shifted rota and bank holiday duties
What we are looking for
* A proven leader with line management experience and the ability to develop services
* Experience in risk and performance management, audits, incident reporting, and ensuring compliance with medicines legislation
* Collaborative communicator who can influence and build cross-team relationships
* Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Organised, adaptable and proactive, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Driven by quality and improvement, focused on safe, effective and patient-centred services
Essential qualifications and experience
* Registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
* Specialist knowledge of pharmaceutical service procedures equivalent to Masters level
* Extensive demonstrable experience at a senior level within hospital pharmacy
* Experience of managing teams/services including line management, recruitment, performance management and staff development
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
* Experience of assessing and minimising risk within medication processes
* Ability to implement change and manage complex service improvement projects

Location: Nottinghams City and QMC campuses, Nottingham, NG5 1PB
Salary: £47,810 to £54,710 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Full-time, Part-time
