My client a leading Engineering organisation have an opening for a Fabrication Workshop Manager to join their expanding operations in a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
To undertake management of the day-to-day operations within an accredited Welding & Fabrication Facility as follows;
Review of Technical and Contractual Requirements: The RWC must thoroughly review technical specifications and contractual obligations related to welding activities.
Sub-contract Activities: The RWC oversees any subcontracting of welding work, ensuring compliance with standards.
Qualification of Welding Procedures, Welders & Welding Operators: The RWC ensures that welding procedures, welders, and welding operators are qualified and meet the necessary standards.
Development & Review of Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS): The RWC is responsible for creating and reviewing WPS documents, which outline the welding process parameters.
Equipment Suitability, Maintenance & Calibration: The RWC ensures that welding equipment is suitable, well-maintained, and properly calibrated.
Production Planning: The RWC collaborates with project teams to plan welding activities efficiently.
Selection, Suitability, and Control of Materials & Welding Consumables: The RWC ensures that materials and consumables used in welding meet the required standards.
