The Business Support Manager will enhance the effectiveness, efficiency and success of the service, ensuring an improved standard of operation resulting in raised standards of achievement. Working directly with the Senior Management Team. Support the Senior Management Team through operational management and performance reporting, including developing systems to record, monitor collation of key performance indicators (KPIs), commissioning information, training compliance and collation of performance evidence against identified standards. Ensure accurate ESR records are maintained in accordance with policy to assist with performance management and the audit process. Provide business and administrative management support to the senior manager on a day-to-day basis to develop the business effectively in line with its agreed strategy. Provide advice and guidance to the team with eLearning, training and development coordination. Monitoring, collating and providing scrutiny and analysis of new projects within the service, reviewing work plans, timescales, financial implications and Health Board protocols. Manage the department’s Health and Safety reporting of issues, providing solutions and guidance where required.

Essential Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential criteria
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
2. NVQ Level 5 – Business Administration or equivalent
3. Evidence of CPD / Personal Development
4. Co-ordinated the administrative functions for a department within an NHS organisation. Provided administrative management support on a day-to-day basis to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
5. Undertaken the preparation of relevant briefings to ensure the senior leadership team are aware of and understand updates regarding status of business.
6. Knowledge of a range of IT software to support the administrative functions. Knowledge of project management systems required to deliver planned outcomes within timescales. Knowledge of planning and reviewing working arrangements and instigating improvements.
Desirable criteria

8. Knowledge of data manipulation, scrutiny and analysis.
9. Knowledge of business development.
