Reeson Education is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and specialist SEN school in the Stockport area. This is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to support students aged 11 to 16 with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD, helping them to engage with learning in a structured and nurturing environment.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities
1. Work closely with pupils aged 11-16 as a Teaching Assistant, supporting their educational and emotional development.
2. Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons that suit individual needs and EHCPs.
3. Provide 1:1 and small-group support, encouraging engagement and confidence.
4. Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment where pupils feel heard and understood.
5. Support students in developing key life skills alongside academic learning.
6. Use your sports coaching experience (if applicable) to enhance lessons, helping pupils to develop teamwork, confidence, and resilience.

Teaching Assistant Requirements
7. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or supporting young people with SEMH, ASD, or ADHD (preferred but not essential).

10. Experience in sports coaching or physical education is advantageous but not essential.
11. A commitment to a full-time, long-term role in a specialist school setting.
