Customs Clerk

Day-to-day of the role:
* Process import and export customs entries using CDS.
* Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and procedures.
* Liaise with clients, shipping lines, and internal departments.
* Handle documentation including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
* Monitor shipments and update clients on clearance progress.
* Resolve any customs-related queries efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a customs clearance role (minimum 1 year).
* Strong understanding of UK customs procedures and documentation.
* Proficiency with customs software (e.g., Descartes, ASM Sequoia, or similar).
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
