Were looking for an experienced Principal Programme Manager to lead the delivery of the Greater Manchester Strategy (GMS) and drive system-wide performance, collaboration, and impact. In this senior role, youll lead strategic programmes, manage a team of programme managers, and work closely with GMCA directors, local authorities, government departments and wider partners. Youll turn complex insight into clear actions, align activity across the system, and support decision-making at the highest levels. What youll do Lead key programmes that deliver the GMS priorities. Strengthen alignment, governance, and performance across GMCA and partners. Provide system leadership and influence local and national policy. Manage people, resources, and programme budgets. Represent GMCA in high-profile regional and national forums. Deputise for the Head of Strategy & Performance when required. About You Youre a strategic thinker with a passion for public service and a track record of delivering powerful performance data across complex programmes. You bring strong programme management skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
