Abbey House is a welcoming 15‑beded residential care home set just one mile outside Kirriemuir, with stunning views from the grounds. We are currently recruiting a Part‑Time Senior Carer to join our team on day shift (08:00–20:00).
About the Role
As Senior Carer, you will play a key leadership role within the team, ensuring high standards of person‑centred care are delivered at all times. You will support the management team, supervise care staff on shift, and act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support the care team during day shifts
* Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to residents
* Administer medication in line with policies and procedures
* Maintain accurate care records and documentation
* Liaise with healthcare professionals and families
* Ensure compliance with care standards and safeguarding procedures
About You
* SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care – essential (SVQ desirable)
* Previous experience in a senior care role – preferred
* Medication administration training
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Compassionate, reliable, and committed to high standards of care
Additional Information
* Part‑time hours (08:00–20:00 shifts)
* Due to our rural location, transport is essential as there is no bus route to the home
