UBT are proud to be working with a growing family run SME business based in Hereford. Due to growth within this £12m turnover company they are now looking to recruit an ECommerce Manager on a permanent basis who will ensure that the website is commercially working as it should be, is easily accessible for customers and ensure that every purchase is fulfilled. The ideal candidate would have worked for an SME business in a similar e-commerce management role with a real focus on the customer journey, experience and making it easier to do business with. [ The role ]
* Make sure the website is as good as it can be from the customer's point of view
* Ensure the website is commercially working as intended so customers can find everything they need
* Liaise with the customer service team to ensure that customers have been able to buy when browsed, including follow ups
* Ensure all products featured are optimised – the right text / product information (H&S information on products)
* Review barriers for purchase to improve conversion, investigating where orders are dropping off and why
* Gain knowledge in how to gather customer information – surveys/google analytics/behaviour flows/Hotjar including how they are using the website
* Improving the commercial objectives
* Project management - explore suitable e-commerce platforms
* Review the limitations of the e-commerce website and work towards improvements to identify what is working and what needs improvement
* Research competitor sites to review best practice
Requirements
* Previous e-commerce management experience
* Knowledge of SEO/Adwords generating traffic to the site would be advantageous
* Commercially focused
* Customer centric and focused on improving customer journeys ensuring best practice
* Attention to detail is essential
* Hungry, humble and ambitious person willing to go above/beyond
* Analytical and investigative to understand customer behaviour
Hours - 40 hours pw
