Join a leading telecommunications company as a Senior Assistant Company Secretary (plc), playing a key role in delivering high standards of corporate governance across a dual-listed FTSE 100 environment!
This is a senior governance position with responsibility for plc-level compliance, disclosure obligations, and Board and Committee support. Working closely with the Group Deputy Company Secretary, you will help ensure robust governance frameworks and regulatory excellence across the organisation.
Role Details
* Location: London (Hybrid – twice per week on-site)
* Rate: £750 per day (inside IR35)
* Contract Length: until 31st December 2026
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee statutory, listing and disclosure obligations in line with UK and US requirements.
* Support Board and Committee governance, including acting as Secretary to key committees.
* Lead the preparation of Board and Committee papers, ensuring quality, accuracy and compliance.
* Manage governance aspects of corporate reporting, including Annual Report and interim disclosures.
* Oversee market disclosures and regulatory filings (e.g. RNS, SEC, Companies House).
* Lead governance delivery for the AGM and support key shareholder processes.
* Provide governance advice to senior stakeholders, including Non-Executive Directors.
Key Requirements
* Strong technical knowledge of UK Companies Act, UK Corporate Governance Code and Listing Rules (US exposure advantageous).
* CGI-qualified with significant post-qualification experience within a plc environment.
* Proven experience supporting Board and Committee governance at a senior level.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Experience leading or mentoring junior team members.
