Job Introduction
Make a real difference to people’s mobility, independence, and quality of life. This role offers the opportunity to work as an integral member of the Physiotherapy team, delivering high‑quality care across MSK Outpatient and Community services.
You will assess and treat a varied caseload of patients, delivering a range of evidence‑based physiotherapy interventions in line with best practice guidelines. The postholder will actively contribute to training and professional development, while continually evaluating and supporting improvements to service delivery and patient outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
* Deliver a safe, effective, and patient‑centred physiotherapy service using evidence‑based practice and working collaboratively within the team.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate physiotherapy interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
* Manage all aspects of clinical practice autonomously, seeking supervision and support when appropriate and working within professional scope of practice.
* Provide physiotherapy services across satellite and community locations as required by the service.
* Work in accordance with CSP standards, and national and local policies, guidelines, and procedures.
* Maintain professional and legal accountability, ensuring high standards of care and accurate clinical record keeping.
* Keep knowledge and clinical skills up to date, maintaining competence across a range of physiotherapy interventions.
* Contribute to service evaluation, audits, outcome measurement, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across Wiltshire.
* Encourage patient engagement, self‑management, and adherence to treatment programmes.
* Participate in on‑call, extended hours, and weekend working in line with service requirements.

Essential Criteria
* HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
* Degree (BSc or equivalent) in Physiotherapy
* Completion of recognised physiotherapy student placements
* Evidence of ongoing CPD and reflective practice appropriate to the role
* Experience treating MSK, respiratory, and orthopaedic patients (at student or qualified level)
* Experience delivering class‑based treatment or rehabilitation programmes
* Experience contributing to clinical and/or operational audits
Desirable Criteria
* Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP)
* MSK, community, or acute‑based work experience or training
* Completion of accredited training courses
* Experience of working in Band 5 rotational posts
* Previous experience working within the NHS
* Experience working within a community‑based physiotherapy service
