The Role: Mobile Plant Fitter (Road Fitter)
We're looking for a skilled and reliable Mobile Plant Fitter to join our growing team. This is a full-time, field-based role, responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a range of construction plant equipment at customer sites across the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on construction machinery.
* Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and safety inspections.
* Perform emergency repairs to reduce customer downtime.
* Travel to customer sites in a company service vehicle.
* Maintain accurate service records, job sheets, and reports.
* Work to the highest safety and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in maintaining and repairing construction plant, agricultural machinery, HGVs, or similar equipment.
* Strong diagnostic skills, especially with hydraulic and electrical systems.
* Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
* Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.
* Valid UK driving licence (required).
* Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Experience with hydraulic attachment service and repair (e.g. tilt rotators, breakers, augers) is beneficial but not essential — training can be provided for the right candidate.
