About the role
We are currently seeking a Junior Sous Chef who is looking for a new opportunity to showcase their culinary skills and creativity.
What will you be doing?
* Leading and managing your designated section to ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
* Preparing, cooking and finishing dishes in line with recipes, specifications and service requirements.
* Supporting junior chefs with guidance, training and day to day supervision.
* Ensuring consistency in quality, portion control and presentation.
* Maintaining full compliance with food safety, allergen and hygiene regulations.
* Monitoring stock levels within your section and supporting stock rotation to minimise waste.
* Assisting senior chefs with menu preparation, service planning and kitchen organisation.
* Contributing to a positive, professional and high-performing kitchen culture.
Who are we looking for?
You will have previous experience within a similar role, with experience cooking and preparing high-quality dishes and working with chefs at all levels.
* Strong technical cooking skills and a solid understanding of kitchen operations.
* Level 2 Food Safety certificate (minimum).
* Ability to lead by example and support the development of junior team members.
* Calm and organised approach under pressure.
* A genuine passion for food, quality and continuous improvement.
There are some aspects of office-based work which will be required as part of the role.
As part of the job, you will be required to undertake menu writing, research and development, have a good understanding of allergen training and knowledge, and be able to lead a team on both match days and non-match days.
This full-time, permanent role (35 hours/week, 5 from 7 days), based at Anfield Stadium.
