Overview
Greenlys Framing is a fast growing picture framing business looking to take on an integral member to our framing team. Exciting prospects as we are looking to expand the business and take on a framer who can grow with the company.
You will need to be reliable, hardworking, able to work well in a team, ability to remain focused a fast paced enviroment, adapt and act quickly, strong hand-eye coordination.
Experience preferred but not essential, as full training would be provided to the right applicant.
Whilst working for Greenlys Framing, you will be expected to perform the following duties:-
Responsibilities
* Measure, cut & assemble frames for artwork & photographs
* Determine appropriate materials and techniques for framing based on the artwork's medium, size and style
* Use power tools and hand tools to cut and shape frame components
* Mount artwork or photographs securely within frames
* Ensure frames are properly aligned & level
* Apply finishes such as paint or stain to frames as required
* Install hanging hardware on framed pieces for display
* Assist customers in selecting appropriate frames and mounting options for their artwork
* Memorabilla framing
Experience
* A willingness to learn
* Previous experience in art framing or a related field is preferred but not essential
* Knowledge of various framing techniques & materials
* Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in framing
* Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
* Strong problem-solving skills to address unique framing challenges
* Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping and standing for extended periods of time
* Excellent customer service skills & interation
* Good telephone manner
