Peter Marshall Farms is seeking a highly organised and adaptable Office Administrator / Personal Assistant to support the day-to-day running of a large farming business. This is a varied role combining administrative support, accounts duties, and general assistance across the business. The successful candidate will be comfortable juggling multiple priorities, working independently, and supporting a fast-moving, and growing business.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & PA Support
* Provide comprehensive personal assistant support to senior management
* Manage diaries, appointments, and meetings
* Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence
* Prepare documents, reports, and excel documents
* Maintain filing systems (digital and paper)
* Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and professional advisors
Accounts & Financial Administration
* Assist the Accounts Manager to process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims
* Support budgeting and cost tracking
* Work alongside our Accounts Manager
* Use accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, or similar)
General & Varied Duties
* Support project work and special initiatives as required
* Help coordinate logistics, deliveries, and contractors
* Be flexible to take on a wide range of duties as the business requires
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Proven experience in an administrative, PA, or office management role
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Experience with accounts or bookkeeping tasks
* Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
Desirable
* Experience working within agriculture, rural businesses, or similar environments
* Knowledge of accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.)
* Advanced Excel knowledge would be advantageous
* Understanding of farm compliance and assurance schemes

Hours & Remuneration
