£31,513.41 per annum; sleep‑in shifts at £60 per night; travel expenses paid 45p per mile.

What you’ll be doing
In this role you’ll work alongside the Service Manager to ensure a safe and caring service for the people we support and our colleagues. You will be visible in day‑to‑day operations, supporting duties in line with the needs of the people we support. You’ll work shifts on a rota basis, which may include sleep‑ins. In the absence of the Service Manager, you will have responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the service, providing leadership and management to the team, monitoring performance, carrying out one‑to‑one discussions and appraisals, and holding team meetings. You’ll build positive relationships with all stakeholders and put our vision and values into action to deliver a first‑class service, focusing on achieving the highest levels of independence for the people we support, and organising and modelling support in an innovative, person‑centred and flexible way.
Qualifications
* Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
* Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards it)
* A strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential
* A working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
* Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
* Full driving licence—essential, and willingness to travel for meetings and training
* Access to your own car and willingness to use it for transporting people we support to and from activities, and obtain business insurance for vehicle usage for which we pay 45p per mile to cover this
