Job Description
The Midlands team is experiencing growth due to increased client demand. We are seeking experienced and aspiring project managers to join our supportive team in Cambridge and surrounding areas.
You'll work on prestigious infrastructure projects in sectors such as transportation (rail/aviation), highways, and utilities, diversifying your project experience. We are eager to connect with individuals at various career stages to explore what Turner & Townsend can offer.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
Lead project management commissions, ensuring end-to-end service delivery, often on large or complex projects.
Act as the primary client interface, ensuring objectives are met and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
SCOPE
Manage commissions of varying sizes, typically between £10m and £25m, depending on complexity. Advisory projects, like urban regeneration funding, may be larger.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage projects by:
* Providing strategic advice at project inception to achieve client objectives
* Defining project requirements
* Establishing success criteria including time, cost, and performance
* Implementing project governance, processes, and systems
* Developing project schedules and master plans
* Managing project development according to plans and targets
* Resource planning and procurement
* Leading cross-functional teams
* Monitoring performance and using KPIs
* Managing change control
* Budget development and cost control
* Communicating project information to stakeholders
* Risk management and mitigation
* Reporting project progress
* Client and stakeholder engagement
* Overseeing health, safety, environmental, and quality issues
Qualifications
Key Performance Indicators include:
* Managing projects to quality, time, and budget standards
* Meeting client objectives
* Effective team leadership
* Building strong client and team relationships
* Managing business development opportunities
* Monitoring financial status of projects
* Effective communication and data management
Qualifications required:
* NEC (3/4) accreditation preferred
* Chartered status with ICE, APM, RICS, etc., preferred
* Degree in a construction-related subject preferred
