The Role
As a Sales Assistant you’ll be supporting your store team with driving sales performance and the day‑day running of your store. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and experience to optimise KPI performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet and exceed targets.
* Deliver exceptional, market‑leading customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
* Offer a VIP concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
* Sell the story, not the discount, sharing a passion for product with an in‑depth knowledge of our range.
* Take ownership of your wine knowledge, continually learning about our products to support WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
* Maintain the physical appearance and maintenance of the store, both internally and externally.
* Carry out all operational tasks required for the day‑day running of a Majestic Wine store, including delivering wine, merchandising, stock deliveries and communicating with customers to drive sales opportunities.
* Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and share ideas with the wider team.
* Remain fully compliant, safe and legal by following internal policies, processes and completing mandatory training.
* Model Majestic’s Ways of Working and support more junior team members, reporting to the Store Manager as appropriate.
* As a key holder, understand opening and closing compliance and operate the store confidently when management is absent.

* Basic wine knowledge; passion to learn more and aim for level 2 WSET qualification.
* Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
