My client, a leading multidisciplinary consultancy with a busy planning team, is seeking town planners to join their growing practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of your own projects while also supporting partners on some of the most exciting and high-profile schemes in the UK.
You'll gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects, including:
* Residential schemes (from 50–1,000+ units, including strategic promotion, applications, submissions, and appeals)
* High-profile commercial projects such as planning for local football teams, major science parks, and national defence work
* Specialist developments with
F1 teams
* Emerging space for renewables including battery storage and data centres
* Care homes, heritage sites, and mixed-use schemes
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and deliver planning projects from inception to completion
* Manage your own caseload while supporting partners on complex, large-scale schemes
* Prepare and review planning assessments, submissions, and appeals
* Engage with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to support project progression
* Stay up to date with planning legislation and sector developments
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years' planning experience (anywhere from Assistant to Associate level)
* MRTPI chartered (preferred) or actively working towards
* Strong organisational, report-writing, and communication skills
* Adaptable and confident working both independently and collaboratively
* Experience from consultancy, client-side, or public sector all considered
