Role Overview You will create and maintain good working relationships with all members across all departments within the Clinical Investigations Centre and contribute positively to the development and maintenance of a cohesive working environment. CIC currently houses diagnostic services for Cardiology, Lung, and Neurophysiology. The post holder will be expected to support service delivery across the 3 different services. You'll help us make health happen by: Assist with bookings for the Cardiology, Lung centre and Neurophysiology departments with provision of instructions given to patients relating to the accurate and precise preparation for test procedures. To take information from patients in a polite manner, updating patient details at each appointment, inputting all information accurately on the computer system according to hospital procedures. To take and give accurate information over the telephone and to have an efficient telephone manner and discretely ensure that the patients are aware of charges and method of patient and examination documentation To contact doctors and secretaries regarding correct request forms. Take charges for test procedures To provide administrative support for Consultant clinics including evening clinic To be fully conversant with all patient administration and booking systems within the CIC and also the method of patient examination and associated documentation. To retrieve previous study reports as necessary for Cardiology, Lung Centre and Neurophysiology tests and ensure that all information relating to the reporting are maintained within a filing system To undertake any tasks as designated by the CIC managerial team Report all incidences to the CIC managerial team and take responsibility for recording such incidents in accordance with Hospital policy Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: Experience in administration/coordination in a hospital or clinic environment Experience within a private healthcare setting Experience in a fast paced environment Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills IT Literate Assertive, articulate and polite Excellent organisational skills Able to work on own initiative Good timekeeping but prepared to be flexible Team player Benefits Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
