We have an exciting opportunity for a
Senior Finance Analyst
to join our existing team, based at our Head Office in Basingstoke.
This role is initially offered on a 12 month, fixed-term-contract, hybrid basis, with the expectation of two days per week in the office.
The role:
As
Senior Finance Analyst
, you will have the opportunity to gain a breadth of experience across the finance department and potential for further career development.
You will support the FP&A team in preparing internal management information to support Group and Advanced Tech activities. Role will report into Commercial Controller.
Key duties:
* Supporting FP&A team with Group and Advanced Technology business analysis, including but not limited to, cost centre analysis, sales trends and forecasts, demand analysis and product margins.
* Owning the preparation of the Group management accounts data pack including trend analysis, headcount reporting and cost base reviews.
* Providing Board pack commentary for Senior leadership team.
* Owning the monthly journal postings, prepayments, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations for various cost centres, including Head office and Sales & Marketing.
* Developing reports, dashboards, and analytics using Excel, and Power BI (or other reporting tools if applicable).
* Supporting budget and forecasting processes by assisting controller team in collating, analysing and interpreting data and preparing Head office cost centre budgets.
What are we looking for?

, you will have the following:
Key skills:
* AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualified
* Clearly demonstrable analytical skills with ability to present large volumes of data (in Excel/BI)
* Confident when discussing MI with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
* Good technical accounting knowledge
* Competent in taking ownership of posting journals and balance sheet reconciliations
* Good personal organisation and clerical skills
* Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
* Willingness to be proactive and make suggestions
* Able to work to tight deadlines and manage time effectively
* Actively seeks opportunities for improvement
