Harwell Science & Innovation Campus, Didcot, Oxfordshire, UK ?? 12-Month Contract | Full-Time | On-Site Were seeking a GMP Engineering Specialist Technician to support a cutting-edge biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility at the Harwell Science & Innovation Campus. About the Role As a key member of the site-based engineering team, youll provide critical hands-on support for GMP manufacturing equipment and be responsible for maintaining equipment operability and reliability across various bioprocess platforms. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in process equipment within regulated environments. Youll collaborate closely with Process Engineers, Manufacturing, Quality, and MS&T teams to ensure gold-standard batch delivery and equipment performance. ??? Key Responsibilities: Act as Engineering Owner for GMP manufacturing equipment (e.g. Chromatography skids, Fermenters, Single-Use Systems, Buffer Prep Vessels). Deliver on-the-floor support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-time. Lead or support small-scale technical projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in tech transfer and facility fit activities for new process equipment. Maintain GMP documentation including SOPs, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls. Support preventative maintenance strategy optimization and execution. ? Ideal Candidate Will Have: A background in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (Degree preferred but not essential with relevant experience). 4 years in a GMP or GxP-regulated environment, ideally within biotech, pharmaceutical, or vaccine manufacturing. Familiarity with bioprocess equipment such as ultrafiltration, chromatography, bioreactors, and single-use systems. Strong technical problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Working knowledge of documentation practices in a GMP environment. ?? Additional Information: This is a 100% onsite role based at the Harwell Science & Innovation Campus.
