An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join the Continence Advisory Service.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of clients, delivering high quality care and treatment to people with bladder and bowel dysfunction within a number of clinics across the city.
Main duties of the job
To assess, diagnose, plan and develop treatment and management programmers for people with complex continence needs within the community setting.
To advise and support community colleagues when assessing and managing continence.

The Continence team consists of 12 enthusiastic and motivated staff who are passionate about continence care. The service is based at Manor Clinic and we offer a patient centred approach to continence care across the city.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 7 months due to the post being recruited as part of a limited term project within the Trust. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the requirement for the post to be maintained as a part of the project’s implementation and the timescales associated with this.

5. Specialist continence knowledge to post graduate level
Experience

6. Experience of working in primary care
7. Experience in the promotion of continence and the management of incontinence
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
8. Knowledge of current local/national policies in relation to continence care and management
9. Evidence and experience of team working
10. Knowledge of implementation of evidence based practice
Desirable criteria
11. Knowledge of systems and processes used for referral and access to service
Personal Qualities

12. Excellent communication skills incorporating negotiating and influencing skills
13. Good organisation skills – ability to manage self and caseload.
