Freight Forwarder - Felixstowe
A small, family-run freight forwarder with over 40 years in the business — and such a strong reputation that they’ve never needed to advertise their services — is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder with customs experience to join their small but perfectly in-tune team.
Do you thrive in the thrilling world of logistics where timing is everything and paperwork is your love language? Are you fluent in customs regulations, comfortable escorting fragile food products across borders, and able to submit an IPAFFS notification without crying? If phrases like CHED-D and GB health requirements don’t terrify you, we’re basically soulmates already.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage shipments end-to-end, from booking to delivery and all the chaos in between.
2. Handle customs entries with the confidence of someone who once read the entire HMRC manual for fun.
3. Submit IPAFFS notifications like the true import-health maestro you are.
4. Coordinate air, sea, and road freight—three modes, one hero (that’s you).
5. Keep food shipments compliant, temperature-controlled, and out of detention (the customs type, not school).
6. Maintain documentation so immaculate it could be framed in a museum of paperwork excellence.
