Overview of role
Location: Cardiff
Annual Salary: £30,285 plus a £1,000 Introductory Bonus when you apply directly (£500 after 6 months and £500 after 12 months of service)
As a Despatch Operative, you will provide a professional, safe, and efficient service to ensure the correct receipt, handling, and distribution of daily sales orders to meet all customer requirements on time and in full. Hours are 40 per week, with shifts from 4:00 pm - 2:30 am and 5:00 pm - 3:30 am.

Key Accountabilities
* Demonstrate a ‘Safety First’ approach at all times, proactively reporting hazards and working towards Zero Harm.
* Follow instructions, training, procedures, and guidelines as set by the site/department.
* Be flexible in tasks within the dispatch operation, including order picking, decanting, loading, unloading, and product control; willing to learn new skills.
* Achieve performance targets measured by WMS and other systems.
* Drive personal development and demonstrate a positive attitude, reflecting company values.
* Contribute to site standards and audits, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
* Build effective relationships with other teams to ensure cross-functional collaboration and optimal performance.
The Right Person
* Previous experience in warehousing and distribution preferred.
* External FLT licenses are desirable.
* Proficient with PC and Warehouse Management Systems.
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation.
* Good time management, organization, and communication skills.
* Conscientious, flexible, and customer-focused.
