EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
The roles are pivotal in helping solve some of the biggest and most pressing needs within Severn Trent. You will be one of four in-house specialists within a dynamic and exciting team. Our Asset Intelligence & Innovation teams are all about creating value in Severn Trent and driving innovation. By having the right mindset and the tenacity to get things done, you will be able to play a significant part in driving improvements that bring value and benefits for colleagues and customers, while being advocates for innovation across the business.
This role operates in a fast-paced environment where we deliver short, high-impact projects that drive significant value for the business. The ability to quickly adapt and pivot as new challenges arise is essential. Adaptability and embracing variety are crucial for this role. You will be working on diverse projects that require you to switch gears quickly and efficiently, ensuring that you can handle multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
In short, this is all about working across the business to dig beneath the day-to-day and provide clarity on emerging and ongoing challenges. You’ll work with operational teams to get to the true root cause of the challenges they face, then find and use novel innovation techniques that deliver solutions to the root causes of the challenges you unearth.
In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex data into actionable insights and trends, presenting these findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels, from front-line staff to senior executives at STEC. Utilising design thinking and agile methodologies, you will uncover significant business needs and opportunities for Severn Trent. Your strong people skills and effective communication will be essential as you engage with both field operatives and senior stakeholders, understanding their challenges and promoting innovative solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
The ideal candidate will have experience in the Water Industry and come from a project delivery/business analysis background. Strong problem-solving skills are required to get to the root cause of problems and identify the most critical value drivers for customers and colleagues, helping to find innovative solutions.
We need someone who has drive and motivation, and who is passionate about innovative technologies. We’re looking for someone that is inspired to drive forward innovation across all of Severn Trent. You will need to be one step ahead of the curve, listening and spending time with your service area to help them identify pressing needs before they even know they have them.
We are looking for a self-starter who has a passion for improving performance. Excellent organisation and planning skills are essential. We are seeking someone who is comfortable driving work progress alongside others in a collaborative way that delivers results.
It is vital that you are highly articulate in how you communicate, particularly when you playback key findings, share learnings, and take people on the change journey.
