Overview
The Development Manager plays a central role in generating new business opportunities and contracts for LSE Consulting, combining entrepreneurial business development with strong academic engagement. The role identifies, shapes and converts opportunities into funded projects, working closely with LSE academics, Departments and Centres, as well as external clients and partners to expand the School’s consulting portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Generate new business opportunities and contracts for LSE Consulting.
* Act as a bridge between LSE academics and external clients to ensure consultants are well-positioned.
* Support bid preparation, proposal design, and research and market analysis on opportunities.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to proposal writing and project coordination.
Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience in business development, ideally within a consulting or research environment.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Confidence in engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
Additional Information
Salary from £43,277 to £51,714 per annum inclusive, with potential to progress to £55,497 per annum inclusive of London allowance. 1‑year contract with possibility of extension to a permanent role.
