Medical Laboratory Assistant – York Hospital
Location: York Hospital | Pathology | Permanent contract | Full time
Up to £24,500 per annum depending on experience.
37.5 hours per week.
We’re looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and experience of working in a pathology or healthcare environment to join our team. If you have strong numeracy, communication and Microsoft Office skills, we will value what you bring.
Responsibilities:
* Provide high‑quality support to our Pathology team.
* Be responsible for specimen administration.
* Manage enquiry handling.
* Prioritise a busy workload.
* Keep calm under pressure and remain professional.
Qualifications:
* Qualification in an appropriate laboratory scientific discipline and level.
* Previous relevant laboratory experience desirable.
* Phlebotomy experience is ideal but not essential; training will be provided.
