and main responsibilities
·Manage the inspection of a variety of clinical and non-clinical areas against the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness (NSoHC)
·Plan and organise multi-disciplinary Efficacy Audits for all patient areas
·To follow the Standard Operating Procedure for auditing in line with National Standards for Healthcare Cleanliness and Trust Cleanliness Responsibility
·Provide feedback to housekeeping, clinical and estates leads on audits
·Provide data produced from cleanliness audits, detailing any deficiencies observed that needed to be rectified, and any initial actions and timescales taken
·To complete routine and ad hoc audits when required
·To schedule audits for UHD balancing clinical requirements and needs against functional risk audit requirements
·Invite appropriate clinical colleagues to attend audits to provide a multi-disciplinary view of cleanliness
·To react to unplanned situations and complete audits outside of scheduled times where necessary
·Review domestic services contractor’s audit results and report back any issues, defects and rectifications as per contact specification.
·Complete management audits at sites covered by the domestic services contractor to provide assurance on the audit process.
·Ensure the contractor is achieving and maintaining appropriate standards of monitoring

Experience
Essential criteria
1. Relevant experience of working within an estates/facilities role or equivalent role
2. Evidence of decision-making, working on own initiative and to agreed deadlines.
3. Evidence of managing own workload
4. Supervision of staff
5. Production of visual reports
6. Developing and maintaining systems
Desirable criteria
7. Knowledge of how facilities & estates services contracts are managed
8. Experience of working within the NHS or another public sector organization
Qualifications
Essential criteria
9. Good standard of general education to bachelor's degree in a Business Administration/Risk Management field or equivalent level of experience
10. HNC/HND or equivalent qualification and/or experience in relevant field
Desirable criteria
11. Evidence or recent continual personal development or other learning
12. Contract Capability Management Programme Foundation Level, or similar contracts management / commercial qualification
