We are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Manager to lead day-to-day Health and Safety management and continual improvement across 3 sites: Wardle, Crewe and Lymedale. Supporting a team of Health and Safety Advisors, leading from the front, translating policy into practicality and championing best practice. Why Boughey? On-site gym Medicash Long service awards The usual: company pension, life assurance, cycle to work scheme, employee assistance programme, free refreshments, free on-site parking Day to Day Risk management: Develop & maintain suitable and sufficient risk assessments and SSOW for warehouse, transport and maintenance activities including MHE, yard traffic, loading bays, COSHH Governance: Schedule and lead inspections & behavioural observations; manage internal audits; track corrective actions to closure Incident Management: Lead investigations (5-Whys/ICAM), RIDDOR triage, reporting, trend analysis, lessons learned and toolbox talks Statutory Controls: Manage PUWER/LOLER regimes, DSE, DSEAR (as applicable), fire risk actions; working closely with Facilities and Engineering BRCGS Support: Ensure H&S elements, housekeeping and GMP interfaces are audit ready Reporting: Produce monthly KPI packs and narrative for Ops forums; escalate high-risk issues promptly Attend and chair Health and Safety weekly meetings Support personal development of Health and Safety Advisors Develop and oversee the reporting systems and Evotix Attend meetings to represent and report Health and Safety statistics and information Involvement in Quality and Environmental initiatives to drive the business forward What will you bring?
