Data And Performance Analyst
Location: HMP Dovegate, Uttoxeter, ST14 8XR
Salary: £26,294 per annum plus excellent benefits
Schedule: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – Flexible hours
Ready to impact a better future? As a Data and Performance Analyst in our Education, Skills and Work team, you’ll use data to shape better outcomes, supporting rehabilitation and progression for individuals within a secure prison environment.
You’ll lead on the collection, analysis, and reporting of education and performance data, turning complex information into meaningful insights. Your work will help drive improvement, inform decision-making, and create a positive impact on communities by supporting programmes that build skills and reduce reoffending.
What you’ll do
* Analyse learner data, including attendance, engagement, progression, and achievement across education programmes
* Identify trends and patterns across different learner groups to highlight opportunities for improvement
* Produce detailed reports and dashboards for senior leaders and stakeholders to support strategic decisions
* Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with governance, security, and regulatory requirements
* Track performance against key targets, including achievement rates and learner progression outcomes
* Support continuous improvement by providing actionable insights and recommending interventions
Fit for this role
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
* Proven experience in data analysis, performance monitoring, or a similar analytical role
* Advanced skills in Excel and experience with data systems, reporting tools, or data visualisation
* The ability to interpret complex datasets and present insights in a clear and meaningful way
* Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and confidentiality
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
* A proactive, problem‑solving approach and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
Vetting and Checks
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
