This is a new opportunity working for a global household business that owns many well-known brands. They seek an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join their team.
The role reports to the Head of Category Management and involves managing key spend areas such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. Candidates with a broad range of indirect category management experience are encouraged to apply.
Role and responsibilities:
* Develop strategies to deliver and monitor performance, including annual savings
* Create group-wide category plans to ensure alignment and leverage suppliers
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including Directors and Board members
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to assess supplier performance
* Monitor supplier risk and performance using reporting tools
* Demonstrate procurement best practices and promote company values
* Oversee strategic projects and ensure optimal service delivery and cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
* Experience in indirect procurement within large, complex organizations
* Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics, and Operations
* Private sector procurement experience, ideally in a global company
* Experience managing complex global projects with Tier 1 & 2 suppliers
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels
* Strategic approach to procurement and supplier management
* Excellent communication skills across cultures and regions
* Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment
* MCIPS qualification preferred but not essential
