Investment Banking Analyst (Analyst 2) - FIG M&A, London
Corporate Finance - Mergers and Acquisitions
Our client is a UK investment banking boutique, specializing in FIG M&A (asset and wealth management sector). The firm has an exceptional reputation and track record in the City, with Partners coming from US Bulge Bracket banks, as well as Elite Boutiques and Global Independents.
The firm is now actively seeking to hire an Analyst (Ideally Analyst 2 or Analyst 3 level) in London, to join the expanding team.
Role Overview:
Analyst 2 level, with at least 12 months experience working in M&A (sector does not have to be FIG).
In this role, you will lead and support high-impact M&A transactions, providing financial analysis, and building client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work on M&A transactions within the asset and wealth management sectors, including financial analysis, due diligence, valuation, and deal structuring.
* Provide insightful financial analysis to inform decision-making and transaction strategies.
* Conduct industry research and market analysis to identify acquisition targets and strategic opportunities.
* Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments relevant to asset and wealth management.
* Collaborate with legal, compliance, and tax teams to ensure smooth transaction execution.
* Coordinate with stakeholders to align on transaction objectives and timelines.
* Maintain relationships with clients, industry experts, and stakeholders to foster new business.
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic insights throughout transactions.
* Prepare reports, presentations, and materials for stakeholders.
* Communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field.
* Experience in executing M&A transactions. Experience in asset and wealth management sector (or FIG) is advantageous but not required.
* Expertise in financial analysis and modelling, with proficiency in Excel and valuation techniques.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
* High integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
