Working in partnership with Dr Sophie May & Dr Ridwan Daureeawoo, the Practice Manager will provide strategic leadership and operational management to ensure the practice delivers high-quality, safe and effective patient care within a financially sustainable and well-governed environment.

We are a small, friendly NHS GP practice in Chelsea with an innovative, enthusiastic and proactive GP team. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Practice Manager to lead, coordinate and support the practice team, working collaboratively with our GPs to ensure the smooth running, continued development and high standards of care across the practice.

Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Management & Planning: Contribute to strategic direction, monitor KPIs, lead change, prepare governance documents, develop business cases.
* Financial Management: Oversee finances, budgeting, maximise income, monitor expenditure, liaise with accountants, ensure controls.
* Human Resources: Lead recruitment, retention, induction, staff development; maintain policies, manage staffing levels, mentor teams.
* Information & Communication Technology: Oversee IT systems, data security, maintenance, procurement.
* Premises & Facilities: Ensure premises safe & clean, manage maintenance, insurance, fire safety, alarm systems.
* Patient Services: Ensure NHS standards, manage appointments, patient registration, complaints, Patient Participation Group, website.
* Governance, Compliance & Quality: Ensure compliance with CQC, Health & Safety, Infection Control and GDPR; maintain continuity plans, risk management, disseminate alerts, represent practice.

Person Specification
Experience (Essential)
* Proven experience in a management or senior administrative role
* Experience of managing staff, including recruitment, performance management and staff development
* Experience of financial management, budgeting and monitoring expenditure
* Experience of working with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
* Experience of working independently, prioritising workload and meeting deadlines
Experience (Desirable)
* Experience working in an NHS GP practice or primary care setting
* Experience of CQC compliance, inspections and governance frameworks
* Experience of managing contracts, service development or income generation
* Experience of working with clinical systems such as SystmOne
* Experience of managing premises, health & safety and facilities
Qualifications (Essential)
* Evidence of relevant management or leadership training or significant management experience within healthcare or a related setting
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Qualifications (Desirable)
* Management qualification (e.g. ILM, CMI, NVQ Level 5 or above)
* HR, finance or healthcare management qualification
* Evidence of continued professional development
