Following significant growth in our Corporate & Transactions Tax offering, we are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Director to join our expanding team.
Working closely with the Corporate Tax Partner, this is a senior, technically focused role where you will lead the delivery of complex corporate tax advisory projects while also overseeing high-level compliance work for some of the firm’s largest and most complex clients. The role is primarily advisory focused and will involve providing clear, commercially focused tax advice across a broad range of corporate matters.
About the Role
Advisory assignments will vary depending on client needs and will often include corporate reorganisations, business sales, EMI and other share schemes, EIS advice, valuations and other strategic tax planning projects. You will also be involved in more complex corporate tax considerations such as loss relief, transfer pricing, loan relationships, anti-hybrid rules and cross-border matters as the firm continues to grow its large corporate and international client base.
Alongside technical delivery, you will play an important leadership role within the Corporate & Transactions Tax team, supporting the development of junior team members, maintaining high technical standards and contributing to the firm’s wider growth strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading complex corporate tax advisory projects and providing high-quality technical advice to clients
Reviewing and signing off corporation tax returns for large or complex clients
Acting as a recognised technical expert within the firm across key corporate tax workstreams
Supporting clients with large corporate and international tax considerations, including cross-border matters
Managing client relationships and acting as the key point of contact on advisory projects
Liaising with HMRC, clients and third parties as required
Supporting quality control, process improvement and risk management across the team
Line managing and mentoring junior team members, supporting their professional development
Contributing to business development through networking, technical marketing and identifying new opportunities
Supporting the firm’s growth ambitions by identifying new work streams and cross-selling services across the wider group
About You
As a highly experienced corporate tax professional, you will have a strong technical expertise and proven ability to deliver complex advisory work. You will be confident operating at a senior level, managing client relationships and contributing to the strategic development of a growing tax team.
You will bring:
Significant experience in corporate tax advisory within a professional services environment
Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of UK corporate tax matters
Experience leading complex advisory projects and reviewing high-value compliance work
The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders
Experience mentoring and developing junior team members
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify new opportunities for clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex advice clearly
