The Team
You’lljoin our Group Procurement and Supplier Management team.This is a collaborative role whereyou’llinfluence decisions, support category strategies, and champion procurement best practice.
What Will You Be Doing?
As a Senior Procurement Specialist,you’llplay a key role in delivering procurement excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Oversee incoming procurement requests for completeness and compliance, escalating strategic or high-value requests to category leads.
2. Manage contract renewals, ensuringtimelynegotiation or termination.
3. Support colleagues in selecting suitable providers for key products and services, including managing competitive processes.
4. Work with Category Leads to develop and execute procurement initiatives aligned to category strategies.
5. Identifyopportunities to build stronger relationships internally and with preferred business partners.
6. Maintainaccuratedocumentation and a full audit trail of all key procurement activities, including contractual negotiations, in line with Group and regulatory requirements.
7. Monitor and respond to market trends and regulatory changes, ensuring skillsremaincurrent andidentifyingtraining needs whererequired.
8. Collaborate effectively with colleagues by constantly seeking ways to refine or improve our methods, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
9. Constructively challenge colleagues on supplierselection, contract value, and long-term supplier management.
10. Contribute to shared Finance initiatives, such as cost challenges, using relevant knowledge and industry experience.
What Do We NeedFromYou?
To be successful in this role you will need:
11. Strong and successfultrack recordin a similar procurement role within a regulated industry (financial services preferred.)
12. Degree or equivalent,plus Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Level 3 or above.
13. Knowledge of procurement negotiation techniques and regulatory frameworks (EBA Outsourcing, GDPR, ESG.)
14. Ability to influence and collaborate with key stakeholders, constructively and sensitively challenging when needed.
15. Skilled in market research, supplier tender evaluation, and contract management.
16. Proactive and solution-focused approach to stakeholder engagement and problem solving.
17. Self-motivated with a positive mindset and ability to resolve issues despite ambiguity.
18. Quality-conscious with strong attention to detail, and proactive in managing risk and compliance.
