We are currently recruiting for a Civilian Investigator to work on a full-time, long-term contract in Newlands Park, London.
The role is initially for a 6 month period, with a view to be extended.
The role will be situated within a Police Force, so applicants must be able to obtain national security vetting.
The role is paying £20.98p per hour (PAYE).
Key Responsibilities
* Review historic and recent DPS investigations involving allegations of Domestic Abuse or Sexual Misconduct by Police Officers or Police Staff.
* Produce Briefing Notes and reports for review by NPCC Officers and senior stakeholders.
* Re investigate cases as directed by the Senior Investigating Officer (SIO).
Essential Criteria
* Previous investigative experience.
* Recent experience in a public protection environment.
* Flexible approach to work and ability to prioritise tasks.
* Strong report writing and written communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Understanding of Police Conduct Regulations, Police Reform Act, Police (Complaints and Misconduct) Regulations, Police (Performance) Regulations.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience handling complaints and misconduct.
* Safeguarding experience (essential).
* Intelligence background.
* SOIT training.
* Sapphire training or casework experience.
* Experience working on complex investigations.
