SKILLED GROUNDWORKER – Topman ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking experienced Skilled Groundworkers for ongoing works on our East Sussex site. The role involves a mix of drainage, remedial works, manhole cleaning, and general groundworks, working to a high standard of safety, quality, and productivity. Experience acting as a Topman is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Acting as Topman where required, supporting excavation and drainage operations Carrying out drainage installation, repairs, and associated groundwork Undertaking remedial works and making good following excavation and utility works Cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining manholes and associated drainage infrastructure Working safely around excavations and live services in accordance with site procedures Supporting plant operators and site teams to maintain safe and efficient working practices Using hand tools and small plant safely and effectively Following drawings, instructions, and site specifications Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area at all times Adhering to all health & safety procedures and reporting hazards promptly REQUIREMENTS Proven experience in groundworks, drainage, and remedial works Experience acting as a Topman essential Valid CSCS Card Strong awareness of site health & safety procedures Experience working around excavations and underground services Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a site team Right to work in the UK DESIRABLE Confined Space certification (preferred) Experience in manhole entry/cleaning operations Safety Critical Medical (site dependent) WHAT WE OFFER Competitive weekly pay Long-term ongoing work in East Sussex Opportunity to work on varied drainage and infrastructure projects Potential for additional training and progression HOW TO APPLY Send your CV and tickets to recruitment@coinford.co.uk or call 01342 840084 quoting: “Skilled Groundworker – East Sussex” To apply online, please click on the appropriate link below.
