An Exceptional Opportunity for a Technical Accounting Professional
Our client, a prominent and highly regarded listed business based in St Albans, is seeking an exceptional Technical Accounting Manager to join their dynamic finance team during an exciting period of significant growth and expansion.
About the Role
This is a pivotal technical leadership position that will see you taking ownership of complex accounting matters and technical excellence. You will lead a team of finance professionals while serving as the technical authority on accounting standards, working closely with auditors, and developing robust accounting procedures to support the company's continued growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of direct reports in delivering technical accounting excellence
* Author technical accounting papers and provide guidance on complex accounting treatments
* Take full ownership of auditor relationships and manage external audit processes
* Develop and implement new accounting procedures and controls
* Provide technical IFRS expertise and ensure compliance with accounting standards
* Support management on complex transactions and accounting judgements
* Drive continuous improvement in technical accounting processes and documentation
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a high-calibre technical accounting professional with:
* ACA qualified with practice background, OR
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with experience in large corporate or group environments
* Strong IFRS knowledge and technical accounting expertise
* Proven experience in managing and developing finance teams
* Experience working with external auditors and managing audit relationships
* Track record of writing technical papers and developing accounting procedures
