Salary: £27,873.89 – £31,819.87

We are looking for a qualified IDVA to join the Community Domestic Abuse Team representing BCWA in the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The IDVA will share their expertise and understanding of domestic abuse with partner agencies working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be a part of making safeguarding decisions, providing rationales and recommendations of support to victims of abuse.
The Role
The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) works as part of a multi-disciplinary team, alongside a range of professionals, including working closely with BCWA colleagues embedded within Family Help multi‑agency teams to address the safeguarding needs of victims of abuse and their children. The MASH IDVA will help to identify and assess risk and support needs of victims of domestic abuse. In addition, the IDVA will share their expertise and understanding of domestic abuse with partner agencies, contributing to child protection decision‑making, risk assessment, and safety planning.
The main focus of this role is to be a gatekeeper to the referrals coming into the domestic abuse service. The MASH IDVA will work together with the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and domestic abuse teams to ensure that actions from the MASH domestic abuse screening are allocated to the domestic abuse team to complete.
